We're Having a BABY!!

We're Having a BABY!

Welcome friends and family to our baby blog! I wasn't so sure how I felt about belly pics being posted on facebook, atleast for the time being when all I have is a little "pouch". So we decided to make this blog as a personal thing we can look back on but have decided that we will make it public for others to see as well :)

By the time this blog becomes public we will be between 13-14 weeks pregnant, so we would've told most people by now. For those who don't know, here's our story...
We have been together for about 9 years now (crazy!), and were married in 2010. We easily could have put off having kids for another few years, as we love to travel and we're content with our little life as it is now. A few of our friends are at the stage, but we're amongst the first which makes it a little scary! We always figured what's the rush to have kids? However, the more we thought about it, we realized there is never going to be that perfect time to settle down. For us, there always would have been one more trip we wanted to take, another reason/year to put it off. We're young, we have the energy NOW, and we basically act like we have children already! (aka our lives are pretty boring).

So to sum it up, we felt as though we were in the right place to start trying for a family, but we weren't necessarily "trying". It doesn't take long we soon found out! I had a feeling something was going on in there very early. I had woken up with the sweats a few nights, my hormones were a little wacky. So as shocked as we were when we took not one, but TWO tests, I had a sneaky suspicion the result was going to be YES +!!

It's one of the most nerve wracking things I have ever done taking that test. Knowing our life was about to change right before our eyes. But also one of the most memorable moments. The look on Tim's face when I came out with that test in my hand...both terified and excitement in his eyes. We are so happy and excited, and can't wait for this whole journey! :).
